Marks Saturday Night Report

Next stop was the Moose Lodge to see Kelly and the group of Three for the Road. Although not a member, Kelly was gracious enough to sign me in. I was able to catch their last set. The place was full and I had a hard time finding a seat. Their music was very good. A mixture of Folk, country, bluegrass and oldies. Dave and Kim Maul, their son and Kelly put on a very good show. I guess they were "Four for the Road" that night. The Mauls' son plays Banjo and I really enjoyed his playing. I also liked the stand up Bass (Very Cool). Kelly vocals were very solid and her harmonies were right on her tambourine playing ads the percussion nicely . Good job Kelly! The crowd really liked what they were doing and they stayed on much later than they were supposed to. Kim plays guitar, harp and does vocals very solid performance also. Their performance was very tasty and musical.

I Agree
I have watched Kelly Beck for two years now and have always found the material that she enj oys better then the rest. With "Three for the Road" I see and hear her enjoying ALL the mat erial. It is a wonderful thing to see a sis ter blossoming to her fullest potential. 3-4-the Rd. attended Open Mic at the Sanford Eag les club a couple weeks ago and laid it on the line, as if to say, "Look, this is what we do and we love it and we hope that you love it to" ! Kelly even played the mandolin for us with pro cession and confidence! Kim's rhythm guitar was impeccable, as usual, and Dave with his up rig ht bass had a grin from here to eternity. No won der,! with those two beautiful, perfect har monies in front! I grinned to! It was quite the delight! ~Levi Rose~

St. Patrick's Day
Hi Kim and Dave and Kelly. Just wanted to say how much Teresa and I enjoyed your recent performance at Mulligan's in East Tawas on St. Patrick's Day. We've heard you guys a few times now and always enjoy it. I noticed your sound system was louder than usual, which is just how I like it, you had a packed house, and Kim and Kelly's vocals were as good as I've ever heard them. Let us know if you're playing around Midland anytime soon (Teresa has relatives there) Best of Luck
